Chris Kruthoff, OD, FAAO
Dr. Chris Kruthoff is an optometrist at Northwest Eye Clinic in Golden Valley, MN, where he practices with a focus on acute and chronic medical care and perioperative management of cataract, cornea, and glaucoma procedures. He graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa with a degree in biomedical engineering before attending the Illinois College of Optometry, where he graduated cum laude.
Following optometry school, he completed a residency in ocular disease and surgical co-management at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta, the first optometry-led co-management center in the nation. Prior to moving to Minnesota, he practiced at Virginia Eye Consultants, furthering his experience with perioperative and disease management in a large tertiary clinic.
Dr. Kruthoff is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association and Minnesota Optometric Association. He has written for numerous optometric publications and has given lectures on ocular disease and surgical co-management at both local and national levels.
