Emily Evans, OD

Dr. Evans is an optometrist and a Medical Science Liaison for Sun Ophthalmics, a division of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries.

She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Dr. Evans then graduated from the Southern College of Optometry with honors. During her time at a large MD/OD practice in Nashville, TN, she practiced consultative medical optometry with extensive background in pre- and post-operative LASIK, refractive cataract surgery, and other anterior segment surgery and disease, focused on ocular surface disease, including dry eye disease.

Dr. Evans has lectured on dry eye disease as well as participated in advisory board discussions regarding dry eye management. She is published in Review of Optometry, Optometry Times, Nashville Medical News, Modern Optometry, and New Grad Optometry.

Dr. Evans is now using her ocular surface disease proficiency in field-based Medical Affairs to support thought leaders in eyecare through scientific and medical collaboration, speaker and KOL development, and clinical trial and investigator-initiated trial (IIT) facilitation.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Illinois Optometric Association.
